Tim is a visionary, award winning global sales and marketing executive with over 25 years of experience at high growth companies. He has led worldwide sales and marketing at corporations like Blackboard, SAGA Software (Software AG), and Iomega. Tim has been named “Top 10 U.S. Marketers” by Crain’s Business Marketing, “Top 100 Executives” by Advertising Age and won “Product Launch of the Year” from Marketing Computers.
Tim served as a senior executive at Blackboard for over eight years, most recently as President, Global Marketing. Tim was also President of the Professional Education business focused on government/corporate verticals. Tim previously was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and International Sales at SAGA Software (Software AG Americas.) and Chief Marketing Officer & Vice President, Global Sales at Iomega.
Among his career achievements, Tim was instrumental in Blackboard’s growth from $115M to $650M. Tim repositioned SAGA from a mainframe software to a solutions company taking SAGA from a $100M pre-IPO valuation to a post-IPO market cap of $1 billion. At Iomega, Tim was the driving marketing force behind the global success of the zip, jaz and ditto storage products. Iomega’s revenues grew from $140M to $1.8B and the company’s market cap from $100M to more than $4B.
Tim is an avid but honest golfer (17 handicap.) He loves convertibles and he has an intense fear of alligators.
